AuctionQR
Terms of Use
Effective 9 October 2026
These terms apply when you create an auction, join as a bidder, place a bid, or use an audience screen on AuctionQR. Please read them before using the service.
AuctionQR provides the auction software only. Organisers offer the items and run their auctions. Bidders place bids with organisers. AuctionQR does not sell the items, collect auction payments, hold funds, arrange delivery, or settle disputes between organisers and bidders. Any payment and handover happen directly between those parties outside AuctionQR.
1. Using AuctionQR
AuctionQR currently provides its auction platform free of charge to organisers and bidders. There is no AuctionQR fee for creating an auction or placing a bid. We may change or discontinue free access in the future, but any new charge would be disclosed before it applies; these terms do not authorise us to charge you now.
You must be legally able to enter into the transactions you undertake, be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live, and use the service lawfully. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to do so. You are responsible for the device, internet connection, and email account you use.
2. Organiser responsibilities
The organiser, not AuctionQR, is responsible for the auction and each lot. This includes the accuracy of descriptions and photos; ownership and the right to sell; any reserve, condition, inspection, collection, delivery, refund, or payment rules; complying with applicable laws, licences, taxes, and consumer rights; and resolving questions or disputes with bidders.
Organisers must clearly tell bidders any auction-specific conditions before bidding. They must not list unlawful, counterfeit, stolen, dangerous, or otherwise prohibited items, or upload content they lack the right to use. They must use bidder contact details received through AuctionQR only to administer that auction and its follow-up, keep those details secure, and comply with applicable privacy law.
The organiser controls when lots open, pause, close, withdraw, or finish. The organiser should keep an independent record of any outcome needed for accounting, payment, collection, or a dispute. AuctionQR's emails and downloadable results are aids to follow-up, not a substitute for the organiser's own records.
3. Bidder responsibilities
Bid only if you intend and are able to complete the purchase on the organiser's stated terms. Check the item and any auction-specific conditions with the organiser before bidding. You are responsible for the bids made through your verified access. A bid shown by the platform is not a guarantee that an item is available, accurately described, or delivered; the organiser handles acceptance, payment, and fulfilment. Whether a bid or result forms an enforceable sale depends on the organiser's terms and applicable law.
Do not manipulate bids, impersonate another person, disrupt an auction, use automated bidding tools without permission, or try to access another user's private information.
4. Content, access, and security
Organisers retain responsibility for the text and images they upload and give AuctionQR permission to host, display, transmit, and store that content to operate the auction and share its results. Do not upload sensitive personal information or material that infringes another person's rights.
Verification codes, recovery codes, and private dashboard links grant access to an auction. Keep them confidential. Anyone with a valid organiser link may be able to open that auction's dashboard. Tell us promptly at contact@auctionqr.com if you believe your access has been compromised.
We may remove content, restrict access, or suspend an auction when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, or legal compliance. We may also change or stop features. We will try to give appropriate notice where practical.
5. Availability and results
AuctionQR relies on internet connections, devices, email delivery, and other services that may fail or be delayed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that every bid will reach the server before a deadline, that an email will arrive immediately, or that a displayed result is free from error. The organiser should confirm any disputed outcome using the available records and applicable auction rules. Do not use AuctionQR as the sole record for a high-value or legally sensitive sale.
6. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuctionQR is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular auction outcome. AuctionQR is not responsible for an organiser's items or conduct, a bidder's conduct or payment, or any offline sale, collection, delivery, or dispute.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuctionQR and its operator are not liable for losses arising from use of the service, including lost profits, lost opportunities, data loss, business interruption, and indirect or consequential loss. Where the law does not permit an exclusion, liability remains only to the extent required by that law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
The fact that AuctionQR is currently free does not remove any rights you have under mandatory law. These limits apply only to the extent they are lawful and reasonable.
7. Claims involving your auction or use
If your listing, content, auction rules, bids, conduct, or breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against AuctionQR, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to reimburse AuctionQR for reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim. This does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by AuctionQR's own unlawful conduct.
8. Privacy, changes, and governing law
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will apply prospectively after reasonable notice where practical. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Courts in Singapore have jurisdiction over disputes concerning AuctionQR, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you elsewhere. If a term cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms or the platform can be sent to contact@auctionqr.com. For a question about an item, payment, or collection, contact the auction organiser directly.
